December 2011 News

It is getting closer to Christmas and we all are feeling the cold wind blowing around our ears. The garden has come to a standstill and Tomas , Dominic, Thomas and Hangul have got much busier now that all the animals are settled into the farmbuilding - and there is a bustle of activity.Owing a lot to Mick who is with us from the Rural Social Sceme the new shed for the donkeys and the tractor is ready to stand up to the rain and cold weather - and the donkeys ears can be seen peeping over the gate when people come to visit.

This week is a busy week for us as we are getting prepared for our Christmas Fair which is being held on Sunday the 11th of December where once again our crafts can be bought and children can have a go at andledipping and making crafts. Donations to our Cake Sale are very much appreciated.
Thanks to Mike from FAS who was with us up to a few weeks ago we can walk around the place without getting to wet as he has cleared and reclaimed a lot of the paths in the garden.

This year we will be doing a Christmasraffle - the draw will be taking place in one of our houses on the 21st of December - and there are some nice prizes to be won. Tickets can be bought from the Community and from many of our friends and in town.

We are all looking forward to seeing you on Sunday the 11th - drop in for a cup of tea and a browse around.
